New Prep Academy Coming to Arizona

Arena Football Owner, Chris Reynolds Launches Arizona Warriors Prep Academy for Post-Grad Football Athletes

Surprise, AZ - Chris Reynolds, the owner of the Idaho Horsemen Professional Arena Football Team of the National Arena League (NAL), has officially announced the launch of a groundbreaking new venture — the Arizona Warriors Prep Academy, a post-graduate football academy set to begin its inaugural season in the fall of 2026.

Recruiting officially begins in the winter of 2025, with the program targeting elite athletes who narrowly missed opportunities to play at larger college programs. The Arizona Warriors Prep Academy is designed to give these players a structured, competitive, and developmental environment that helps them refine their skills, elevate their academics, and get the exposure needed to reach the next level.

Reynolds, known for building one of the most successful arena football franchises in the country with the Idaho Horsemen, created the academy to fill a major gap in the football landscape — the absence of junior college football programs in Arizona and surrounding regions. His goal is to help young athletes continue their football and academic careers while preparing them for college recruitment or professional opportunities.

“We’ve seen far too many talented players lose momentum after high school because they didn’t have the right opportunity,” said Reynolds. “The Arizona Warriors Prep Academy will bridge that gap — providing the structure, coaching, and mentorship needed for athletes to get back on track and prove they belong at the next level.”

The Arizona Warriors Prep Academy will focus on four core pillars:

  • Development: College-style coaching and professional-level strength, conditioning, and skill training.

  • Education: Academic guidance and coursework support to help athletes maintain or improve eligibility.

  • Exposure: A competitive schedule against other prep academies and collegiate developmental programs, along with access to recruiting networks and scouting events.

  • Character: Teaching leadership, accountability, and discipline — values that define successful athletes both on and off the field.

Reynolds’ vision for the Arizona Warriors Prep Academy is to create a premier destination for post-graduate athletes who still have the drive and determination to chase their dreams. The academy will not only prepare players for college programs but also open doors for potential professional opportunities — including arena, international, and alternative leagues.

Recruiting for the Class of 2026 is already underway, with the staff actively seeking motivated players ready to commit to their development and future.
